I was doing a bit of house cleaning this morning since today is usually slow on STH. I was about to reboot a machine when I saw this uptime figure:
Code:
root@fmt-pve-01:~# uptime
 09:34:42 up 745 days, 22:31
That is not too shabby. Just over 2 years of uptime.

Which version?

Do you have the kernel care(or whatever the inline kernel update without reboots)?

This one is still on the 4.x line. I do not for this particular server.

Thanks for the info. Not too concerned about vulnerabilities in the kernel?

This particular host sits totally behind a firewall as do all of its VMs/ containers. So concerned yes. But this is not a high priority machine either.

That's the one!!

It was fully supported in 4.4 but I've not yet seen 5.1 support.
Cool, that makes sense re:proxmox

I've been testing Kernel Care in 2017 on 2 bare-metal servers myself, so far so good... although I have one with cPanel that gets false positives about needing to reboot/update, from what I've seen and cPanel has told me it's something with them.

I'll have to load up KC on one of my Proxmox hosts now and start testing that too.

Thanks :)

Here's one I was on this AM:
07:39:21 up 247 days, 23:42, 1 user, load average: 0.05, 0.06, 0.08
