Can I get an enclosure with that?

Hi,

Say I have 2.5" SSDs with Dual 12Gb/s SAS interfaces (disks supports reads up to 2100MB/s) and 9400-16i HBA's, is there an enclosure (like the MB998IP-B) I can buy that fits in a 5.25" bay, that supports the Dual 12Gb/s SAS interfaces so I can get up to 2100MB/s reads? If it's not possible in 5.25" is there a rack mount storage chassis that does support it without costing the earth?

Thanks.

Thanks, if I hard mounted the drives, is there a 9400-16i to Dual 12Gb/s SAS connector cable available, can the 16i support 16 Dual 12Gb/s SAS drives or just 8?

AFAIK, standard sas cables are rated to support 12Gbs. I am always puzzled how this is possible but looks like cables are overbuilt.

you can buy dual ported sas cable and connect to the drive directly however for every port you can only connect 2 drives. In case of a 9400-16i you can connect 8 drives max using the dual ported sas cable. Another FYI, the said cable are usually very pricey.
