An Antec ea650 green bronze power supply.
Beginning from the year of AM3+ socket and FX series, then Intel 1150 and the famous E3 v3.
Yesterday, it might come to an end because of sudden shutdown after running 3DMark again years later.

Ultra X4 1000watt is $185 on ebay for new now. I think it was premium grade in 2010. Near $1.9 for 10 watts.
I found the ea650 was $1 for every 10 watts on the old invoice.

I have an Antec PSU from 4690 era still running too, I actually just pulled the CPU\MOBO\RAM from thay stem and was going to junk the old PSU\Case but decided to keep it for old-school case vibe :D This was running 24\7 for around 8 years I believe.

I have server PSU that ran 24\7 for 10 years too, just recycled those :D they had 15K HDD too, amazed they still were working.

Power supplies or any other component for that matter can last a while, but you'll see higher failure rates as the years go on. Capacitors especially degrade over time and something that old is likely using electrolytic ones, which are prone to leak/vent.

Can you visually tell between the cap style?

I have quite a few “old” PSUs from 2010 or prior years that still work fine. I’m still using two of the 1 kW PSUs from the early 2010s when those just got in vogue in older systems. After my Pentium 4 system went up on smoke literally back in the early 2000s I have always allocated for a high end PSU for any subsequent build. Quality PSUs last. The only issue is that for today’s standards the length is quite long. All my recent PSUs have been 150mm or less in length.

I have a Corsair AX1200 that I purchased in January 2011. It's still going strong in my Corsair Obsidian 800D case (purchased the same time). I believe the motherboard has been upgraded 4 times, maybe 5. The first video card in that case/power supply was a 8800 GTX times 3 for triple SLI and has been thru a 580 x2, 980 x2, 1080 x2 and currently a 2070. The power supply has been on 24 hours more often then not. It suffered thru dozens of blackouts and brownouts.

Storm is rolling in. Let's see how it does...

Oh, before that Corsair I had two Tagen 1000 watt power supplies that were regarded as excellent. Both died several years ago.

I don't track the age of my PSU's but I have an old Athlon rig with a PC Power and Cooling either 850 or 900 watt. Never a minutes problem. It's powering a fully loaded FX 8350 with 32GB of ram and 4 HD's, I think. It's my shop computer so it gets heavy use.

EDIT - Just checked my records, it's a 950w Silencer MKII

The Corsair HX620 I bought in 2008 to go in a Antec P180 is still running my second PC, in that case.
