Cables to connect SAS disk to LSI SAS 9341-4i

Hello, I'm newbie and want to connect SAS disk to LSI 9341-4i PCI controller in my desktop PC.

I tried to use this cable: SFF-8643 to U.2 SFF-8639 + SATA power.
I can get into the controller's BIOS setup utility, but it's not seeing any HDD (NO PD PRESENT).
Any of the disks doesn't even spin up at all. I know these SAS HDD are good, they are working in server machine.

What am I doing wrong?

Er, could you post what kind of hard drives you are working with? That'd probably help.

SFF-8639 is for connecting to NVME devices, whilst you're using regular SAS HDDs. You need a SFF-8643 -> SFF-8482 cable I think.

I will, however, profess my ignorance with regards to dual-port SAS drives. The model you listed is I believe dual-port, and I don't know if that makes a difference on the cable selection.
