Device part number: 01965W
PSID: DEL1110000023
Device name: MCX384A-BCAA ConnectX-3 Eth; dual port QSFP; 40Gb/s Mezz card for Dell
Supported protocols: Ethernet

These are 40Gb ethernet cards, not VPI.
MCX384A-FCAA supports VPI

Will this work on c6100?
@tby seems to have them in a C6100, judging by the pictures? I can't confirm though.

If my C6100 sleds were not DCS and lacked the mezzanine cutout, I'd likely be all over this if C6100 support was confirmed. I just ordered some dual-port 10GbE ConnectX-2 cards for $50 each though, so I'll be good in the high-speed networking department for a while. :p

Mine is an XS23-TY3. It fits together with the mezzanine bridge boards I bought but like I said, no time to mess with it beyond that right now. I'm in the middle of trying to rescue data from a pile of disks that were part of an ailing WHS box...

Netperf between two fresh single-proc Ubuntu 12.10 VMs on L5520s using a QLogic CBL1-0600526 passive copper cable. Not the greatest test scenario but I'm feeling lazy.

Can these be used with SFP+ lamps at 10 Gig or just direct attached cables. Will they negotiate at 10 Gig with direct attach if I have 10 Gig on the other end?

These are QSFP and I have no idea if they'll run at 10Gbe with the right cables / adapters, but a couple of eBay sellers have 10Gbe TCK99 cards complete with riser and bracket for $65-70 BO.

Sorry to bump this old thread but wanted to add a little info.... both 3CYRK and Y5WKX work with C6320 sleds (using 4NWN5 bridge card) but what is odd is that the 3CYRK/BCAA is also coming up as PRO model whereas I thought FCAA is the better card with VPI? Or is with/without VPI completely different than pro vs not pro? (I'm wondering if my BCAA cards have been reflashed to something better?)

FCAA/Y5WKX: MT27500 Family [ConnectX-3] <<< NOT PRO

BCAA/3CYRK: MT27520
Family [ConnectX-3 Pro]
