Build Name: Fast and Bulbous (Multi-chassis hybrid)
Operating System/ Storage Platform: OsX / OpenZFS on OsX

Since this functions as one complete entity, I will keep everything in one place.

It's in the last stages of completion, so more will be added as it all gets pulled together including photos etc.

I. Background

Previous Configuration
This is my attempt at consolidating about 5x thunderbolt add-on enclosures and JBOD towers into a clean rack mount solution for the home. Obviously the below was becoming a giant mess of wires, power bricks and so forth due to gradual expansion over time. Since I need more drive space and don't want to add more junk to my desk or drawers, I'm altering my approach entirely.

Soon, it will become my fast and bulbous 9U rack mount beast:

Akitio 4x 2.5" Thunderbolt 2
Akitio 4x 3.5" Thunderbolt 2,
Akitio PCIe expansion chassis with Atto H680
iStarUSA tower chassis that previously housed the zfs pool, expanders, etc.
Mac Mini
2x Cyberpower Tower UPS
