I've made a low-ball offer on this. Couldn't resist the price to performance. Can't say I want it to go through as my electric bill will cost me $250/yr more (but 40GbE) than the 6450.

gah... I'm not even fully utilizing my LB4M. Threw an offer out anyway. Anyone know if the POE works with Ubiquiti APs?

This site is bad for my wallet. :)
I have a uap ac pro, zero vdi clients, security cams, and voip phones powered successfully so that is a resounding YES!

Awesome! Thanks! Now to see if my somewhat low offer is accepted.

As for power, it's about the same as my LB4M, so I guess I'm breaking even there. :)

Amen brother.

For me, the incredible level of tech support offered here makes it a no brainer. Guru @fohdeesha and his brethren have convinced me a journey into Brocadian 40gig will be well guided. I drank the kool aid.

The newly racked ICX6610 awaits the arrival of its sibling ICX6450. Ebay is good. Mellanox MNPA19s silently await in twin R320s, freshly stroked to 8c/80GB each. The ss.R420 has a date with Miss Planned Outage, anticipating the rendezvous will double its core count and ddr3 to 12/96 but, more importantly, enable nos Riser 1 to join Riser 2 at the 16x bar. The new foundation enables the LSI9300 to peacefully cohabitate with its new cell mate, the CX354A. FS.com has a new client account. Paypal loves me.

And the pixies shall fly.

apparently you guys bought a lot of switches... seller sent me an email:

"Thanks for your order with us yesterday and for bringing some others into to get theirs too!

Let me know if you need any other networking hardware, I have a large inventory here in Phoenix.

If you brought some others in that have pending offers, I unfortunately am out of stock until Monday. I will update then."

Thats maybe the second or third time thats ever happened to me on ebay since like 2005.

That's funny. I guess I'm in the wait till Monday camp as I haven't heard anything. No problem with that.

Grabbed the HP card and a cable.

According to these posts:

NetApp being a successful company if their cables cant hit the rated speed as their SAN appliances were / are quite popular
Well, I mentioned it because they're SAS cables (and quite old ones) for disk shelves, not ethernet cables - their rated speed for the application they were sold for is 6gbps per channel, and 40gbE is nearly twice that. Like I said though I'd imagine it would still work given they're not crazy long and you have good transceivers on both ends (eg not cheap switches/cards)

I think you'll be the first one to try out the 15 foot long version, so post your results somewhere so we get STH in google results for even more niche questions :p

"Competing offers: 12" LOL. Sometimes I can't tell if these STH threads are an ebay sellers best friend or worst enemy

I'd think most folks are here are trying to get the lowest price that the seller can accept. In that regard, I'd say it's not their best friend. But I'm not sure if I can classify as worst enemy either.

hehe, right. I do know that prior to me buying one and PM'ing it to a couple members here in june, he hadn't sold a single one in months. So maybe 15 switches sold @ 150 is better than zero sold at $350? I have a feeling he has more than a hundred of these - he's one of a couple ebay sellers who won a giant auction lot from brocade's HQ in California while they were doing a clearout - hence the Brocade internal QR sticker on the front of them

You know I stay away from this forum for a few months and I am able to maintain a budget and sense of "need" vs "want". I come back and BAM sucked right back in and blowing my stash! Someone ban me....

I got that too. Guess he figures the demand went up so the price should. Meh. I don't want it that bad, particularly with shipping. If the rest of you do, have at it. :)

Yeah, I declined mines immediately. If it comes back down, after the hype is over, I'd still like to pick one up. Same goes for icx 6450 and HP T620 Plus prices popped up.

I'd even be interested at the previous prices that others have picked them up for but not @ $250.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal.

Agree, I was willing to pay that for 6, I'll wait and pick em up after the STH hype calms down.

Yep... sth got them to not want to accept the 175 anymore :) They thought there was too much interest to sell them that cheaply. After all you guys decline the offers I can try 175 again lol

:/ This is why I'm hesitant to post too much info.. but supply and demand.

The other alternative is to organize a group buy. Got my QSFP card and cable.. now just need the switch!
