The official part number is ICX6610-RMK-4P but there does not seem to be any on fleabay. I bought 2 a long time ago for the icx6610, as an alternate you could use any vented 4 post shelf and lay the switch on top of it.
Yeah, they are impossible to find. Will it be better to maybe just mount a 2-post shelf at the rear of the rack to support the rear of the switch and still use the ears in front of the switch?

I might have a 4 post kit - need to check. I know I have some front ears, including one that is bent and will need a blowtorch to bend back.

Rather than a vented shelf I use extendable L rails. I think from sysracks or navepoint - thin enough on the bottom that you don't lose a U.

L brackets will do as well. I have seen people put switches on them with the front ear rack makes it not move. You should be good. I ran 6610 on just front mounts as well but it sagged so I understand :)

Are you selling the kit?

I have replaced my icx6450-48P with icx7250-48p, but somehow new 7250-48p is constantly overheating even with stock fully working fans. It will just switch to fan speed 2 and sit there forever. Is that normal or is my unit broken? icx6450 never done that, it was not even remotely possible to reach speed 2 temperatures... Meanwhile 7250-48p in same position is running like that 24/7.

Did you Open the Case and took a look If there's dust? My First ruckus Switch (6450-24p) Had a lot of dust near the openings and overheated in summer...

Are all the fans running? maybe a fan is broken? disconnect the fan wire from motherboard (MAKE SURE TO DO THIS, as it can break the header pinout and short it), put a zip it to stop the blades from moving and spray compressed air to clean the dust from the fins.

There has been some reports where a heatsink might be missing or moved during shipping, checking to make sure its seated properly or if you feel adventurous to repaste it would be a good step and test.

I blew the dust out with compressed air before first use.

All three fans are working, and all of them report 7600–7900 RPM.

I think 34–35°C is a normal ambient temperature inside the rack, so the reported temperature cannot be any lower.

I read the "Rule 2/2" as saying the max allowed air outlet temp is 34C so if you ambient is hovering around there then I'd expect it to be turning itself off all the time.

Since it's reporting 34 at the PSU it's kicking into Speed 2.

What you can do is attached one or two fans externally to the vent on the side to bring down the PSU port temp. That should fix you up.

Either that or get it better ventilation.

I don't think that's how the output is read. Speed 1 is up to 41C, so provided it doesn't go above this, it should remain in Speed 1. If it hits 41C or higher though, it goes into Speed 2. It only reverts back to Speed 1 if it then drops below 34C. If temps haven't been higher than 34C then it won't be in Speed 2.

Similarly, in Rule 1, it won't be triggering Speed 2 until measured temp is above 95C, so that doesn't seem to be the case. All indications based on that output are that the fans are in Speed 1. This matches my measurements; the Foxconn's operate at ~6.5k RPM in speed 1 in my 7250-24p. I assume that the Speed 1 duty cycle on the 48p is just a little higher. @nl635 is the screenshot you posted when it seems to be "staying in speed 2"? because that doesn't seem like it is to me? unless as above, it exceeded 41C in the PSU area previously.

Yes, it will reach 41°C on speed 1, then switch to speed 2, where it drops to 34–35°C and stays there.

If I open the rack doors to cool it down a bit, the temperature falls below 34°C (around 33.5°C or so) and it switches back to speed 1.

I was just curious why the 7250-48P switches to speed 2 at a much lower ambient temperature than the 6450-48P.

I don't have an answer but I agree it is strange. My 7250-24p has a speed 1->2 transition temperature of 58C in the PSU area.

Alright, so there is probably nothing I can do about that. I have ordered some ARCTIC S4028-6K fans and I will try to change them... I wonder if they will be enough

Interestingly the docs have this to say:

Model

Low limit temperature

High limit temperature

Critical (shutdown) temperature
ICX 7250-24G71° C98° C105° C
ICX 7250-24 67° C98° C105° C
ICX 7250-24P82° C
PoE PSU: 34° C
93° C
PoE PSU: 41° C
105° C
ICX 7250-48P
85° C
PoE PSU: 49° C
95° C
PoE PSU: 57° C
105° C
ICX 7250-4867° C98° C105° C

Seems like your threshold should be 49C instead of 34C. Confusingly it also seems like mine should be 34C instead of 58C. Also seems like yours has the temperature limits of the 24P? Maybe check if there are any firmware updates?

Also, the arctic fans are lower performance than the Foxconn, so I'm assuming that you're buying them for noise performance. I couldn't find any noise performance data on them though. There are a number of alternatives that people have found acceptable if you search this thread though.
