What I discovered was the first unit I unboxed was set to brightness 50 & contrast 50 out of the box. Raising brightness to 100 would raise it to 210 nits.

I noticed the subsequent two units I unboxed were 250 nits out of the box and they were set to brightness 50 & contrast 75.

With contrast at 75 and brightness 100 they'd test at 295 nits.

I went back to the first monitor and set it's contrast to 75 as well and indeed it hits 295 nits.

I usually buy Dell monitors and haven't seen brightness dependent on contrast like this before. Lesson learned.

These are not exactly the brightest monitors when comparing to some of my laptops. But hopefully, the color accuracy should be better than many of the cheaper laptop screens

for those that want a cheap used ones without stand, here are some. I looked up the specific reviews for this seller on this item for the past 6 months and they seem to be all positive so i am taking chance on one. Will test mine out when it comes. He got 4 left. Sold over 60.

No desk stand is okay with me as I'm using Humanscale arm mounts for all my monitors. Does this have VESA 100x100 on back of the monitor?

The monitor arrived today. Fast 3 day fedex shipping. Aside from a couple of very tiny scruff/minor scratches that you can barely see unless you look for it, it's nearly new. No obvious dead pixel (because these were obviously supposed to be high quality selected panels).

It comes with the four mounting screws in the back as well as a power cable and DP and HDMI cable.

For $159, I am definitely satisfied. It's definitely much better than what i would expect for what the description said B-. Sadly, this seller is also now OOS for this used monitor....

Oh well, hope to see another cheap batch of P32p-20 again soon.

Anyone else also bought the used one like i did too?

Thank you for this, came in and needed some heavy cleaning but the colors are great!

Received an offer of $189 from the seller after having this in my cart for a few days. Maybe he will let it go for $179? He still have 92 left after selling a bunch. If anyone still want a cheaper one without stand

super happy with this deal, thanks to the folks who kept finding new and used of this monitor. received two. no dead pixels that I can see. One has a very slight .5" scratch at the bottom that you can really only see if a light is shined on it and/or have the monitor totally black. No dust, mounting screws, 2 power, 2 hdmi and 2 DP cables included. packed very well. My partner is very very happy with the dual 4k configuration.

You guys just keep on tempting me.

I've been using 2nd hand HP LP2475ws for many many years. One has a broken menu button but I've been able to get by with HP's Display Assistant for the past year.

I appreciate everyone sharing availability in this and other threads of this forum.

Should've got one when it was available for $160 without the stand or $170 new. But even at $199 without stand, it's still a great upgrade compared to your old one. You should get one now. Will wonder why you didn't get one earlier once you use a good 4K 32in monitor.

Yeah, I tend to keep stuff for a while and am a bit of a hoarder. I shamefully admit I have over 40 rack-mountable network devices in my home-office/lab--many were purchased as spares. I like the HP monitors and preferred 1920x1200 resolution. But their LCD panels are starting to delaminate at the corners and one doesn't work well with HDMI. It is probably due to the older firmware. Sometimes it wouldn't sync from cold/warm start. DisplayPort works fine.

I did buy 2 P32p-20s! I waited so long because the HPs were doing the job and I was concerned if they would be too heavy for my monitor arms and be too large. Your latest bump made me investigate more and it appears they (15.3 lbs/7 kg) are below the maximum capacity of my arms (25 lbs/11.3 kg). Manual measuring of my son's 32" monitor seems to indicate these should fit my desk. My other concern was the VESA mount. This Lenovo's mount has a recessed VESA cavity and I want to reuse the HP's (of that generation, L2065, L2475w) stand adapter. Those are really convenient. It comes in 2 pieces. One piece attaches to the monitor, the other to the stand/arm. The monitor then "drops" into the arm that contains the other half of the mechanism. The following picture shows the two pieces. If it doesn't fit then I will just create a wood filler block.

The Lenovos have typical power rating of 36W instead of 75W for the HPs so that's a good way to conserve resources.
