I am putting together a new system for my own homelab usage and I am contemplating a bit what drive(s?) to install proxmox on. I am going to backup the VMs regularly and the VMs themselves will run off other Intel DC SSDs I still had, but for the boot drive(s) I am a bit uncertain. I was going to go with another, slightly older generation Intel DC SSD but it turned out to be DOA & I was wondering what others are typically using.
This system itself is not a 'critical' one (re: homelab) but I wouldn't want to worry too much about the system potentially having a dead boot drive next week.. so here we are.
Any recommendations are highly welcome (as opinionated such questions and answers can be).
