Considering a 3U case that has a backplane for SAS/SATA that comes with 4x SFF-8643 connectors on it. 16 ports total. Going to use SAS drives that are 12gbps. Planning on connecting it to a raid card but for the life of me can't tell what kind of cables I need. Haven't figured out the raid card I'm going to use but so far every SFF-8643 cable seems to come with 4 SATA connectors on the other end. Image of the backplane is attached as even with a small image the forum complained the image was to large. Any thoughts on what kind of cable I need and what Raid card would work with this? If it matters looking at my future Ryzen 7000 build so supports PCIE 5.0 if that matters.

sff-8643 to sff-8643 cables are readily available as are sff-8643 to sff-8087

obviously you're going to either need 16 port raid controller (with 4 connectors on the card ) - or a suitable sas expander
