Avocent IPMI Management

Patrick and others,

I've read the main site Gigabyte GA-7SPESH3 Review and had a question... does the Avocent IPMI management just provide the https interface changes or does it do more? I'm trying to understand if it is totally transparent to the OS.

Not 100% I would say. I ran STHbench-Dev010.sh on that platform and just opened the log file as a quick example:

So you can see that there is some identification at least to the OS.
