ASUS RT-AX57 GO Router build plug and play advice

My First Router was a plug and play that i configured and now i want to transfer the sim to the asus router which doesn't have a sim slot but has usb thetering but i don't want to leave my phone with the data on all day and this sim is 5g enabled so i don't feel like limiting the bandwith by using a 4g hotspot. I'm thinking of building a small usb device that can host the sim and configure the apn settings but have no clue where to start looking for parts or how to assemble this. I have some experience in sodering.
