Just got my board delivered a day early, ordered on the 12th
For my pseudo HEDT build (original plans were for a far less ambitious i9-14900KS system) this monster came up and now I'm in "eff it" mode

I just built a 32 core rig with this a couple months ago. Paid the full $1300 or whatever. Can't imagine why ASUS would have it below $300 other than a mistake.

Nevermind, I had this confused with the ASUS Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE -- AMD sTR5 board. The Intel board is probably on sale due to Intel moving to a new socket imminently, or something along those lines. Still, insane deal.

It was out of stock last week and on a random check the 'notify' changed to 'buy' for me, so i took squillions of screenshots and placed the order. Just lucky I guess, and no clue why the $1030 markdown. Best guess is....I dunno...benevolence?

What CPU? Nothing as of yet. Immediate funds are for the new NAS (pretty sure this SAGE is beyond the overkill im going to build), and I figured to get a W5-24xx for starters, or I may do a 35xx just to get all them juicy juicy PCIe lanes that I wont use. My original "xEDT" plan was a 14900KS paired with a Godlike. Well, saved a grand on the mlb, reckon I can redirect that towards a nicer proc to start with. We'll see how wallet-kind life will be in the next year or so.

this motherboard is vastly more appropriate for a server than a godlike. this one has a IPMI, slimSAS and SATA ports, etc.!

I hope it'll pop up again, as for that price I'll go and build a second SPR system (especially because I already have a second W5-3435X which I wanted to sell but haven't come across doing that).

Could be that they've meant a discount, but put the price instead. We'll probably see if they'll restock it and keep the same price. I put a notification for myself.

Also, at least in Switzerland price is ~1000 CHF with no discounts
