That's expected, 4+ Kilos of silicon/plastic/copper/aluminum should feel very different in high-tech form vs pure raw material brick (leaving aside price differences). ;)

Is it planned to create a separate topic for these motherboards (Asus W890)?
sure, once one have mobo and cpu together...
but run SP ES on WS boards was unique, don't work this time.

LGA4677
SPR/EMR-SP chipset C741 DMI3(retail, ES up to early E0 can DMI4)
SPR-WS chipset W790 DMI4
LGA4710
SRF/GNR-SP System on Chip (no chipset required, BIOS ship to socket like AMD EPYC)
GNR-WS chipset W890 DMI4 (BIOS chip to W890 Intel ME bringup)

a warning to all who think about buying LGA4710 Granite Rapids WS (Xeon 600) Workstation motherboard and ES CPU.
ASUS provides two models:
Pro WS W890 SAGE (wo. BMC, vPro, Boot Guard,TXT)
Pro WS W890E SAGE SE (w.BMC, no vPro, Boot Guard and TXT disabled)

as you see they are different and the W890 SAGE does not even support ES stepping B2 because of BOOT Guard.
furthermore the BIOS is somehow protected against modifying(Platform fuses)
unless a miracle happens, you'll probably have to buy the expensive W890E SAGE SE or the Gigabyte MW94/MW54 (require a BIOS modification).

edit: supermicro X14SRA-T/F run also Boot Guard.

Good to know this information.

Only issue is boot time seems to be slow and going through the codes, is that because I did not connect one power connection, which is PCIE_CPU_12V_2?

My PSU is an Corsair RM1000x.

no. that is normal. with early BIOS my GNRD8-2L2T was slow, then step by step with newer BIOS the POST went faster.
you have to wait for newer BIOS or you need to go complain to ASUS—I know you're very good at that.
