Are you talking about a PCIe riser for M.2? Those are really cheap from China, I know which models work best. Let me know how many you're trying to get and I'll find one for you on AliExpress. Keep in mind though, one huge issue with the ones from China is that it's 50/50 chance they send you the wrong ones. So basically you throw $3 per riser at it until they send the right SKU.

No, not the Chinese ones. That was what @dbram and @Cruzader (IIRC) suggested before was the PCIe 2xM.2 + PCIe x8 (PCIe x4x4x8) Splitter.

What I miss is the 270° (or 90 ° - always get confused, must be why I never bought these Risers and never used 1U enclosures until now) Adapter to mount that PCIe Splitter/Bifurcation Card aat 90°, in the Full Profile PCIe Slot in that 1U Chassis.

Supermicro P/N, from what I could see from @Cruzader, is RSC-RR1U-E16.

Ive bought alot of them and they have always been easy to deal with and fair on pricing.
I think my only issue was buying something like 10 lots of 4 psus and they shipped 10pcs instead of 40pcs, but they shipped the rest when i let them know.

il probably keep one cisco and flip the rest, got one of those driveless stripped down T42S-2U without cpus that will get 8x 4114 out of them as they get better cpus.

Given my success in Selling Stuff in Denmark (heck, the only Thing People seem to be interested is what takes no space at all), I'd say don't buy Things you cannot sell. I tried eBay for some Articles, but even that had no Traction at all.

But maybe Norway is a way bigger Market.

12x NVMe in 1U for this price is fine. I’ll bet they offer much better price since they have lot of them and stock does not decrease

Netapp use those for solidfire, they do appear in small quantities now and then as 12nvme spec at fairly decent prices.
(They also use them as pure compute nodes without backplane, so make sure to check pictures that they are there)

I grabbed 4 of them last year at 50£/ea with caddys and 2x 128gb satadoms in each.

Oh I coincidentally have like 50 of these, maybe more, and then some others of another brand. Unfortunately, since I do not value them, they're probably in various buckets somewhere. Is there any reason you need these though? How many M.2 SSDs are you trying to connect? There's these low-profile ones that exist where you don't need an angled PCIe riser if you're just trying to do two M.2 SSDs?

The SuperMicro would end up going over the other PCIe slot anyway, unless you put it in the other one and then you still need to get a low profile riser for the other and I'm not sure if you could fit anything more significant after it angles.

I wouldn't personally trust any of the ones that do more than one M.2 NVMe at a time because then you need... more fancy stuff on it to make it work. And if they're simultaneously trying to keep it cheap, doesn't work out too well. To get into being able to trust them territory, then those end up costing $50-140+ (plus it probably exponentially increases your failure rate.)

So yeah, the Second (short) x8 Slot will NOT be used, we will only be using the First x16 Slot for 2xNVMe Devices + 1xNIC Card .
