And have to switch Manually ... At that Point I could also live "just" with the 4 Raspberry Pi 4 that I have and just connect those Ad-Hoc
Why manually?
just integrate over infrared with ir transmit led of an esp
or
connect the gpio’s to the push button on the hdmi or vga switch.

soldering and software skills required of course and bit of time and effort.

Looks like the Video Adapter I just ordered might have Issues in BIOS though o_O

According to this Website (Chip: zy5621)

The downsides seem to be that the video can be a little soft occasionally if the phase is not aligned, which can be remedied by cycling power to the converter. It doesn’t support resolutions below 640×480, so access to BIOS menus (720×400) and some lower resolutions used by games are not supported. It doesn’t appear that interlaced modes are supported either. I’ve also found that piping the video through an HDMI splitter can result in some purple stripes appearing on the left side.
Does somebody know which resolution the BIOS Outputs at ?

EDIT 1: for Reference, the Supermicro X11SSL-F does:
- Initial/Early Post Screen: 720x400
- Some intermediary Message Status (e.g. Loading PCIe Device BIOS/UEFI Firmware and Post e.g. Mellanox Flexboot): 1024x768
- Inside BIOS Screen: 800x600

128gb of UNBUFFERED ECC RAM is WAY more than the Case + PSU 2nd Hand.

Add another 120 EUR or so for the 5700X. That's why I'm considering going with the AMD Ryzen 3500X. MUCH Cheaper (of course with lower Performance)
You not having full ebay available and difference in quantities makes it a completely different pricing for you tho.

How you have stated that you cant use global shipping to Denmark?

That you are restricted from the mostly better US based deals than the EU ones for ram/components.
Well if I select "Ship to: United States" in the ebay.com Website, then I still don't see very good Deals, even in Librewolf Private Window:

Cheapest 5700X in the US is 130 USD.

Cheapest 32GB ECC UDIMM is around 65-80 USD.

(and yeah eBay search is stupid as usual, fixed by going to Advanced -> Keyword options: Exact Words, Any Order)

Everything above plus VAT of course. Which doesn't seem that good of a Deal compared to Germany 100 EUR for 32GB DIMMs (including VAT) or 120 EUR for 5700X new.

Is that 100eur for one dimm or set of 4?

My average cost for 4x32gb for last 10 nodes is 84eur including shipping/vat by current rates.
23eur for 2x25gbe cards with shipping/vat.
111 eur for 5700x with aliexpress promos/codes.

That combined (+ mobo) is pretty much what id be looking at for case/psu domesticly.
The cases ive been buying earlier at 1000-1300 Norwegian are now almost double that.
Not as big a increase on psus but they have also increased significantly.

Without sharing my alert lists (as im still buying more also) you dont really want to search for "ecc udimm".
Its the sellers that just lists it as any other 32gb ddr4 ecc you want.

100 EUR for 1 DIMM of course !

I don't see where / how you can get 4x32gb for 84 EUR. Cheapest I found right now on eBay.com is 65 USD **EACH**.

For Servers it's quite a bit cheaper indeed, e.g. CSE-512:

But I'm not really interested in loud 1U Servers ...

Nice when the others share eh :p ?

Uh ? Meaning I have to go through EVERY single 32GB module by Hand, 99.9% of which are Registered DIMMs anyways ?

Because, besides the Keyword "UDIMM", the Categorization UDIMM/RDIMM/DIMM of eBay System is completely filled in wrong every single Time by the Seller !

I also tried search by Manufacturer Part Number, but then again, not much Luck at all.

Well with the ****load of 16GB I bought now I think I won't need those anyways, unless for the most Powerful Systems, maybe 32GB DIMMs there would be nice.

Searching for ecc 4x32gb ddr4 I get barely 60 Results ...[/QUOTE]

But where are you storing these Servers, in a Bunker ? That Rattling Centrifugal Fan
In a side room, as mentioned I’m using the gelid am4 1u fans for the cpu, those hardly make any noise. Doesn’t get very hot even after stress testing. Maybe I’ll add a shroud and an additional 4020 fan for better airflow.

the 1u power supply makes some noise. I’ve replaced the fan on one of them with a Sunon 4020 12v fan, still noticeable but less noise.

I think the worst it's the Centrifugal Fan on those CSE-512 though. I don't like them too much because of the aforementioned Riser / 1xPCIe only Limitation though.

it depends on how and what you mount, I'm trying to squeeze 2 nvme's and a 10Gb nic on a x4x4x8 riser and an nvme ssd to boot in the second pcie slot...
Curious how you do that. The Riser that has been mentioned before (2x NVMe + x8 Slot) turned a Low-Profile PCIe Adapter from Aliexpress into a Solution where you plugged the NIC "on top". But then you would need a FULL High PCIe Bracket Case (4u, possibly 3u), definitively NOT 1U !

So I don't think you did that on the CSE-512.

And if so, I'm curious which Adapter you used ;) .

that's why I removed them :)
:D

Wasn't there one already available you said ? Did you have to customize it ?

a 90degree angle riser from slot and install it like you would any other card in a 1u.

Since i happend to be near my workbench atm, something like this.

RHS or LHS ? Pretty sure back then when I researched some Supermicro Stuff there was an Option for both :D.

And are you doing 2x100gbps there  ? That looks more of a Mellanox ConnectX-4 QSFP28 than a Mellanox ConnectX-4 LX SFP28 ...

EDIT 1: Would that be a Supermicro RSC-RR1U-E16 Riser ? And are you also using the Supermicro CSE-512 ?

I'd be a little concerned for the NVMe Cooling especially the one that will sit on the Bottom (closest to the Motherboard) though :(. Is there even space for say a 7mm Heatsink or so for the NVMe Drive ?

Should be a 2x100g connectx4 or connectx5, got a bit of each on the bench and borrowed from closest stack.
(Dont really have a plan for them, impulse buys at 20-25$/ea pretty much.)

But for the ryzens its 2x25gbe connectx4 lx im normally using.

Not required to customize, the x470 is similar but would leave some open space. Serial port extra nic, ipmi nic. Our b450 has far less connectors populated. It’s also cleaner like this.
I wanted a design to work on anyhow to add a holder or something to fit an esp32 on the free space, with the c3 wifi antenna sticking out
