Fedex delivered me a S2500-24P today.

I couldn't find any information on SFP+ compatibility out there. Prices for the Aruba Networks OEM modules are way more than I can justify for home usages.

I tried a Cisco and an HP DAC. Neither were recognized... The port dummy light comes on, but "show interface transceiver" returns nothing. I don't have any other transceivers to test with.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Test results look pretty good. sender = dual Xeon X5360, receiver = dual Xeon X5660

Late to the party, but in case someone stumbles upon this thread, the FS HPE 10g SR and HP 455885-001 both work for me. I paid $15 for the HP ones on ebay.

IIRC the Aruba S2500 I had was the opposite of most other switches in regards to SFP compatibility. None of my DACs would work but few issues with optics.

I could never find an unsupported transceiver command either.
