4.22.0F does not work on the 7050QX-32.

"Failed to start TCG Core Services Daemon."
And the ASIC never comes online.

Is it possible to reverse the airflow for the fans on a Arista DCS-7050QX?

Looking at the datasheet, there is an active circuit that uses a 3V PWM signal to control speed.
Based on that, it seems that swapping fan leads will not work.

So, what about physically turning the fan around to push rather pull air?
Can one unbolt the fan, and turn the fan around to point the opposite direction?
It looks like the leads are long enough to do so.
But will that create any issues?

I've reversed the fans for these switches on both the fan units and the PSUs... no problems so far (it's been 2 years?)
Thanks for the confirmation. I went ahead and physically reversed the fans, and it went smoothly -- no issues, The sensors report the same speed, so everything looks good. Much appreciated.

On a separate note, afterward I tried upgrading to 4.22.0F, and
both 'show env cooling' and 'show env temperature' produced no output.
The fans turned at ~60%, the same as older releases, so I'm not sure it's an issue.
I switched back to 4.21.02F to be safe.

Not true. 4.22 should work for latest Arista switches
I advise to try 4.22 2GB image for older switches - e.g. 7150S and 7050QX-32

I did not have a problem loading the OS, where the problem shows is that the OS does not recognize the ASIC anymore.

4.18.11M is the latest stable in the 4.18.x codetrain, works great. granted if you're talking about the 7050QX-32s, you can run much newer

Thank you. I am using "7050QX-32" (without "s"). So, I will try 4.18.11M, now.

Thank you!

I would like EOS-4.18.5M for 7050S also if possible
or if 4.18.11M also works then that
