I recently migrated two hgst sas3 ssd drives from on old server running VMware 7.00 to another server running 7.01. I keep seeing APD timeout messages about twice a day. In addition to timeout warnings I also see a few pairs of entering and exiting APD state messages.
I haven't seen any adverse effects in the virtual machines. But in a windows 10 VM, I do feel some sluggishness when using. Don't know if it's related with this.
The two drives are connected to an on board lsi 3008 controller in IT mode. It doesn't have SR-IOV enabled.
Any advice on how to trouble shoot these will be appreciated.
