Anyone thinking about a Naples Build when they're available?

So Naples looks impressive and if the price is right like they are with Ryzen Desktop offerings that may be my next workstation. I was thinking about a Haswell ES or Broadwell build as i already have a dual 2011 board but readng the articles on naples it looks really impressive

Maybe. I will wait if supermicro or others make a single socket mainboard with 5+ x8 pcie slots.

I'd like to know if we'll be able to get these as one offs or if they're going to big customers only. I'd also like to see what the clocks are before buying.

Depending on the price they start out at, yes def considering asking myself to get one for "Evaluation Purposes" at work :)

The on-die and between socket interconnect will make or break it vs Intel with our work loads, the rest can be estimated with Ryzen #s.

The Dual Socket + lots of GPU system will be good to test somehow/somewhere (DemoEval) when they become available. I can see pushing a number of our clients to try it out for their workloads for the next round of hw purchases.

They have one -X10SRL ;)
2 PCI-E 3.0 x8, 2 PCI-E 3.0 x8 (in x16),
2 PCI-E 3.0 x4 (in x8) or 1 x8 + 1 x0
(auto-switch), & 1 PCI-E 2.0 x4 (in x8)

Depending on performance and pricing we'll be getting a bunch of them.
Hoping they have some higher side 2.8-3.0Ghz performance wise that will be the real deal then.
A lot of our customers require on the higher side of single core speeds but also need multiple cores.
