Hey all. I run a small AI consultancy and we've got a real-world deployment kicking off in the Dallas area that's squarely in this community's wheelhouse, so I figured I'd ask here before going the boring job-board route.
Short version: we're putting a bunch of IP cameras and mics into a working facility and running everything locally. Think Frigate or Viseron on a box on-site, wired cameras, a Coral/Intel/Nvidia/Hailo detector doing object detection and face recognition, and the whole thing spitting out clean structured data at the end of each day. No cloud. The fun part (and the hard part) is making it actually work in a messy real building: bandwidth, mounting, moving cameras 10cm because the angle's wrong, befriending the on-site IT networking person, all of it.
I'm looking for someone who already does this for fun. You've got a rack or a NUC running an NVR at home, you know what a Coral TPU is, you've pulled your hair out tuning zones and masks. This is hands-on and on-site in Dallas: you'd be in the building setting it up and keeping it alive, not working from a laptop in another city.

- If you ONLY do the hardware + edge/CV side (cameras, network, NVR, tuning the models), great, that's a real role on its own.
- If you can ALSO build the app layer on top of the data (turning the structured output into something people actually open), even better. That's the unicorn and there's more upside there.
