Hey all - have an SC846 on rails now, but would like to get a cable management arm if it's available so I can pull it out of the rack without worrying about yanking on cables. Is one available?

Thanks!

They do exist. There is a part number available (I could look it up, maybe, but prpbably better to get it from SM).

Unfortunately, they are also as rare as an albino zebra. Almost nobody buys them and they almost never show up on the resale market.

So the correct answer yes, but the practical answer is no.

So I did come across that PN#, but I read this: FAQ Entry | Online Support | Support - Super Micro Computer, Inc.

"Q: What is the purpose of MCP-290-00073-0N (Supermicro Cable Management Arm for 2U, 3U and 4U chassis (Extendable Length: 70mm to 830mm)); and can it be installed on SC846E16-R920 chassis?

A: It's not a replacement to rail kit; and the purpose is to manage the cable neatly on the back of the chassis.
It does not support SC846 chassis; only the following models are supported: SC219, SC829, SC828, SC835, SC836, SC936, SC743, SC745."
