Shot from my room... 2 chairs to sit on the balcony and listen to the fountains...

Swapped out trains for quakecon... pretty neat.

Found a little nook to give respite from too many people.

Yeah... its just freaking pretty there.

I wonder which way to the conference center.

BYOC with its 2800 pcs (you do not bring your own chair... which really bothered me)

rando... 4k lego piece tower.

I was there with Jawa Nation, not much into competitive matches but a fun group.

First night AT&T ****ed up and we didn't have internet for 8hrs+ ( I went back to the room and stuck halo on a jumpdrive and came back)

Shoddy picture of awesome custom thin rig. + VR at QC.

I brought my left monitor only and regretted it the whole time, mainly because it weighs as much as the tower...

Then we drove back to Houston...

I am high and dry, but it took a bit of alternate routes to get home.

Where is that hotel/ what hotel is it?
That is the Gaylord Texas resort in grapevine, TX (right next to DFW)
Quakecon is hosted in the attached conference center... that place is huge.

If you do make it there or are in the Dallas area... go to Lucy's lot for the best burgers and loaded fries can find. :)

Quakecon itself is cheap ($50 ticket for BYOC) but the hotel runs $185/night
