Any X10SLL-F users out there with a multimeter?

Hi

Thanks for reading this.

I picked up a second-hand X10SLL-F up from marketplace which seemed flawless on visual inspection. However when I got home, I noticed that one of the caps on the back side of the motherboard had been knocked off. I'd like to replace it but I don't know the value.

Could any one with a X10SLL-F and a multimeter please measure the capacitance on C531? (supposedly a bigger size capacitor on the back side close to one of the corners)

I know it's a long shot and I'm asking for a lot - removing the motherboard from the case, reinstalling it.. but it pains me not to be able to use this board (I don't want to plug it in in this state. C531 is NOT a decoupling cap)

Here is a photo of the location of the C531 cap. (I remembered the number wrong in my initial post - now fixed)

(I cleaned the pads already.. was going to put a 10nF there but I figured I should ask first.)

That would explain why I couldn't spot the earlier number.

I've not actually tried this before so maybe I'm doing it wrong but it came back 25 or 30 µF when swapping the terminals. Why would the measurement change when swapping?

Likely the multimeter was charging the cap and the circuit behind. It also could be measurement error (accuracy of the multimeter) or just how well the terminals were touching the tiny component.

Measuring anything in-circuit is inherently inaccurate considering that we don't know what is in parallel with that component.

Can you please repeat the measurement and see what number it starts at and then keep the terminals on for 5 seconds and see if the number changes.
