I'm looking for a 775 motherboard with nVidia chipset. If you got one for a reasonable price let me know!

I have an ASUS P5N-T DELUXE motherboard I bought a few months ago for a project I wound up abandoning - it worked fine, and I updated it to the latest bios. I'd be really happy if I could get close to what I paid for it (I think it was ~$100) but I don't have a need for it any more. I don't have the I/O shield for it.

A working nvidia chipset from that era ... priceless.

$100 is more than what I'm looking to spend - sorry!

Also, why is it that CPUs lose their value so much over a few years but motherboards hold their value relatively well? A $1000 xeon CPU goes to $30 in a decade but the motherboards from that era are still selling for $100 on ebay.

Those chips are tanks... boards die...

I have one up and running still :)

I'll check my "storage office" for some others that I may still have.

isnt a q6600 slower than a $200 nuc?

but with 10x the power draw!
Yeah it's very true. I feel like I may be throwing money after a sunk cost. But since I already have the ram and CPU and heat sink, it will still be cheaper than building a new pc.
