I have a Supermicro H8DGI-F with an Adaptech 6805 controller. Currently running ESXi 6.5 with no issues.

I know the RAID controller would not be supported in if I upgrade to ESXi 7, but is everything else going to be ok on this board?
My main concern is the network cards (as i so an intensive use of the integrated IPMI)

Any tip?

Thanks!

So the NICs are: Intel® 82576 controller

According to this discussion:

Is seems like installing this package should make ESX7 compatible:

Has anybody ever tried this... at home? ;)

In general I would be really keen to hear if anybody is experiencing nay issue on ESX7 over this motherboard.
Thanks!

I don’t but have you tried install 7.0 on a usb drive. That’s how I did it when upgrading from 6.5 to 7. Esxi boots up and runs off a 8GB drive.

I have tried installing remotely using virtual ISO from IKVM (same effect as USB just slower due to the network limitation from my remote location). It appears to complain about the network cards not found. I've tried 7.0U1 out of the bod and customised .iso with the drivers of my last post above. They both don't work unfortunately...
