Any hope for nonfunctional memory channels?

I am using a Gigabyte MS03-CE0 motherboard with a Q30H (engineering sample) LGA4677 CPU. I was testing it outside of the case on a box because of some mechanical issues with a GPU, but after reinstalling it in the case, using any of the top DIMM slots (E0-H0) causes "bios : Uncorrectable ECC / other uncorrectable memory error(DIMM_E0) was asserted" on boot, presumably from bending it wrong or knocking something off. It runs fine with only the bottom slots in use. It doesn't seem to be the RAM since it works fine in the other channels. Reseating the CPU didn't fix it. I don't see any obvious damage to the CPU, socket pins, memory sockets or board. Is this most likely an issue with the CPU or motherboard, and can I do anything other than replacing whichever one it is?

Did you check for anything contacting the back of the board like a standoff causing a short? Try taking everything back out of the case to test again?

Double check for damage in the socket including making sure that no pins have been moved sideways a little, the array should look really nice and regular. Ditto check nothing has damaged/fallen into the RAM socket. Looking at the board there probably isn't much scope for damaging traces for the RAM as the two banks of sockets are very close to the CPU but I would have a good scout round under a magnifier if you have one for any damage to tracks on the PCB.

remove motherboard from the case and check for misplaces/forgotten mobo standoffs(short circuits)

Looks like it was that. It worked outside the case, and there is a standoff I missed. I guess it wasn't a problem until things moved while I was reinstalling the board and some soldermask got scraped off. I feel silly for not checking the standoffs properly. Thank you to everyone for the help.

Good news :)

Worth some UV setting solder mask over that track though.
