Does anyone have a recommendation for an Android tablet to do basic SSH admin with?

I'm looking for cheap and 9-10"

I tried doing one of those anemic windows tablets and it failed miserably. Worked OK with putty but MobaX couldn't handle a bunch of open connections.

I'm Android, not iOS and I want a solution under $300.

Is there a good app to manage profiles?

I use this one: Amazon.com : ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 9.7" (2048x1536), 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, 5MP Front / 8MP Rear Camera, Android 6.0, Tablet, Glacier Silver (Z500M-C1-SL) (No Sim Card Support) : Computers & Accessories

Silver (really white) is about $20 less. Nice screen. Okay battery life. For $269 it seems like a significant step up from the Kindle Fire and runs Android. Also, the 4GB RAM and the ability to add a 128GB card for $44 seem decent for long flights. My Pixel XL was always on a version of Android too new for the United in-flight streaming app. It also received an Android 7 update recently.

On the admin, I am using Juice SSH but there is likely a better solution out there.

JuiceSSH does ok for me and slight better now that I opted to embrace tmux. =) I think connectbot or a fork is still alive/well too as another ssh client option. Hardware wise my phone [nexus 6p] has been enough since mostly running scripts/monitoring progress vs longer interactive sessions. Laptop/PC for that. Remote Desktop apps might be an option on a 10" tablet tho. Sadly I haven't had much experience with anything recent in that realm since Google hasn't released any cost friendly Nexus 7 replacements.

I used SSH client on my old S5 haven't tried on my S7.

Obviously it's for emergency only, tiny screen sucks but is doable :)

They probably have 4-8" BT screens or something cool now for your phone ?? Maybe BT Screen+Kb off your phone?

@wsuff check out that ASUS. It is decently cost effective and a big upgrade over the Nexus 7.

I have a hard time getting another Asus device based on android after having a big issue on Asus Zenfone 2. It had ghosting and had to replace the screen.

@Hank C - A phone in my mind is a different class of device. This was $270. A year's worth of use and it is worth it.
