AMD Opteron 3300 and Opteron 4300 series CPUs in the lab!

Although we did not get ahold of Opteron 3200 series CPUs and 4200 series CPUs (we did get 4100 series however) just unpacked and did a few glamour shots of an AMD Opteron 3380 and dual AMD Opteron 4376 CPUs:

Confirmed today that the AMD Opteron 3380 does work in consumer AM3+ motherboards.

I'll be very interested to see how power efficient these are - it would be nice to have an alternative to S1155 for small servers.

Funny enough, was working on getting a new dual C32 platform planned today.
