Mellanox nics can be EN (ethernet only) or VPI (Virtual Protocol Interconnect = Infiniband +Ethernet) :D

Did the NVMe Hotplug issue got fixed? I don't recall hearing about what happened with it anywhere.

There was a perhaps a closely related issue about Intel not being 100% spec complain with the PCI-to-PCI Bridge specification and Linux using code that worked with it, but which caused issues with ThreadRipper and PCI Passthrough. It finally got solved some months ago. At the time I was almost sure than that bug was related to the NVMe Hotplug issue, but since I never heared about it again...

Great review. The 3 page new format helps load times but it's 3 pages. At least it isn't like 20 pages like other sites.
