I am thinking about doing a short piece on an AMD EPYC 3000 cluster. Perhaps have 4-5 nodes in the cluster.

Each node is unlikely to have a ton of storage since they will be in compact form factors, but they may happen all in a single box.

If we did the piece should it be a Proxmox VE cluster or a Kubernetes cluster? Something else?

Proxmox has been done a lot hasn’t it.
K8’s is interesting for sure but for a lot of people some what limited, I would tend to run K8’s in VM’s running on the cluster.

How about an open source KVM with shared storage that can run as small as 2 node manual build ?

I like the idea, but I want to use more nodes if possible.

google "k8s install youtube" return 191,000 results.
google "k8s setup youbube" return 40,000 results.

I voted for "other" for this reason.
