I have a couple of these in some servers at work, and they work just fine. https://www.amazon.com/Lemspum-Network-Ethernet-X520-DA1-82599EN/dp/B0B2183C32
For my work, I'm not allowed to buy from Ebay, so the generic card is a nice option. Plus the generic doesn't vendor lock on the transceiver ( I know thats easy to get around, but still annoying).I would call that not a deal when you can get used branded dual x520 sfp cards for $1 more:

I was thinking this could be the case, but didn't post it since I only had a hunch. Makes the branded cards with dual ports an even better deal.keep in mind based by the picture its a counterfeit x520 (its an older chip flashed and sold as x520) while they may work - its likely to produce some issues.
And you get working RDMA/RoCE.I love the Connectx4 cards. Get them for $30 on ebay all day. In my quick and dirty testing, they do draw a bit more juice vs the X520's though. About 4-5 watts more at idle vs the X520.
That wouldn't surprise me since the duals are going for as little as $16.I have X520s there are a few seller selling these for around $13 (at least some look legit).
