Posted something earlier on my experience almost getting sold fake Kingston ValuRAM DIMMs.

Who knows if the DIMMs with printed pink/purple labels would have worked, but one should always double check these DIMMs when purchasing at retail, and upon receipt if purchased online.

I will also note that I have been purchasing a good number (close to 100 now) of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB UDIMMs and the genuine Kingston ValuRAM parts have seen zero defects to date. Still a small sample but good nonetheless.
