availability was pretty bad with C2000 also. I think intel just really doesn't want to undercut itself so keeps the volume low.

Quick search shows decent availability here: LambdaTek | Search Results
That's a nice example: overpriced because there isn't enough availability to drive the prices down. Same site has X10SBA for less than half the price and X11SBA for just a bit more than that for stuff that's roughly equivalent in terms of parts. On the flip side, you can buy into Xeon D for not much more than the C3000 parts. C2000 has had the same issue since launch--the prices just remain stubbornly high for what you get.

@mstone let us put it another way. Intel DCG pricing is much higher than it had been with everything launched in 2017 and onward.

But the boards are in stock. A2SDi-4C-HLN4F as an example.

At least in USA and from supermicro I see availability of C3000 boards, as has been pointed out they are not cheap.
May have to import yourself ? (Required to import from USA to Asia for price and availability reasons, even if they are made in region)

I have C3558 from my vendor and it wasn't a problem to get them (EU). Seems they are in Nederlands hub.
