A preview on the Toshiba PX02SMF080 800GB SAS SSD Performance

Single drive, single ported. I put the drive on a LSI SAS 3008 controller to get 12gbps SAS speeds.

This drive is already pushing the boundaries of 12gbps SAS in single ported mode:

I like the NVMe drives but you aren't gonna have 24 of them in a chassis. Super speeds there.

Specs are 400MB/s writes so I think the numbers are close enough.

Nice speeds from those sas 12.0 drives. At the bottom of the page it shows 3 servers connected to jbod filled with 24 p3700s hitting 14 million iops not bad! Could do the jbod with one server but would need some pcie switches
