I bought a P4208 chassis and swapped out the 8 x 2.5" Cage for an 8 x 3.5" cage. This one is brand new and will come with the cables. It's meant for the P4000 chassis but you might be able to mount it in something else. Buyer pays UPS shipping. I'd estimate no more than 15$ in the US, can give quote before hand.

Do these hot swap units conform to normal 5.25" bay specs? In other words, would it be possible to install this in the 5.25" bays of a consumer computer case?

I've been looking for a 5.25" bay compatible 2.5" drive hot swap cage with the drives "standing up", which seems optimal if you can spare more than one 5.25" bay. The Icy dock cages all have the drives lying down in a single 5.25" bay (as far as I've seen).

I'm in Europe so I think shipping cost may be a deal breaker regarding buying it, so this is more of a general question.

No, the mounting is little different use the supermicro 8 x 2.5" one it is setup for 5 1/4" bays
