Newegg is having sale on Team Elite DDR4 SODIMM 3200. Excellent price on high speed sodimm for the new ryzen H and U 4000 which appears to significantly take advantage of faster ram speed compared to using slower speed ram

2x32GB for $199, 2x16GB or 1X32GB for $104

Wonder if these will work in the Dell XPS 17 9700...have 32 GB Corsair memory now, but use it as my Photoshop machine, 64 would be nice

As long as your laptop use ddr4 should work fine even if speed is downgraded. good thing is when you upgrade your laptop, your high speed ram is still good for the newest laptops.

The Team Elite 2x16GB was listed at $95 on Newegg just four days ago, and if you stacked it with the 10% off coupon, you'd have gotten it down to $85.50

It's also worth noting that this is CL22 RAM, so you might want to see if whatever you're using will benefit from RAM with lower latencies compared to this (although it would, of course, cost quite a bit more)

Note that G.Skill Ripjaws 2x32GB DDR4-25600 (3200MHz) goes for about 205 USD (CL22) in Newegg. You could in theory apply the 10 dollar code and knock it down to 195 as well. I have the DDR4-21300 (2666Mhz) version in my HP t740 - no complaints about them.

still more expensive than the teamgroup ram and also slower speed.
Not in Canada... I did some pretty extensive price searching. After paying shipping and duties, the Team Elite ones ended up being the same price if not a bit more expensive by a couple dollars. But, considering the Team Elite is the cheapest of the cheap, and I'm not putting this into something that will use the speed (or even run with it), felt it was better to go with Samsung, since they typically work with almost anything.

Also good for TinyMiniMicro nodes.
Yes, assuming that your machines that can take DDR4. That’s technically anything post-Haswell, but some Broadwell uses DDR3L, and DDR3L 16GB SODIMM modules (max size on the tech) are priced rather unreasonably.

Do remember that:

a) Intel Broadwell/Gemini Lake Atoms and AMD Excavator/Bristol Ridge can take 2x16GB DIMMs max*

b)The Intel ‘Lakes (Sky, Coffee, Kaby and Ice) and the AMD Ryzens (Raven Ridge/it’s embedded cousins + the Renoirs) can do 2x32GB DIMMs.

*16GB DIMM on Gemini Lake machines don’t seem to work reliably in Windows 10, but is otherwise fine on modern Linux.

that's 2666 speed. should be fine for intel 9th gen. 10th gen intel can do 2933 but probably doesn't see that much of a real world difference unless running memory benchmarks

ryzen 4000 would benefit more than intel having 3200 ram. so if you can get 3200 for maybe additional $10 or less, its probably worth to get 3200 ram over the 2666. also note that using asymmetric ram sodimm will cause dual channel to drop to single channel. that's what happened on my laptop when i tried to put a 16gb sodimm into my asus g14 which has 8gb 3200 soldiered on one channel. Even if both the soldiered ram and upgraded 2nd channel are both 3200. This drop to single channel actually give a worse memory bandwidth than even using dual channel 2400. lol.... I know because i tested this out on an HP omen that has proper dual sodimm slots....

Which is why sadly i am considering returning the asus even though it's so nice...
