The item description also says 4TB instead of 5TB. Seems to be a lot of errors in the listing for a drive with no label :/ But these could be a great deal :)

listing is sketchy. cheapskate that I am, I would avoid this like the plague. There's a few too many inconsistencies in the listing.

For home I would have tested a few but I already have way too many to test, for now sticking with retail RE for business :)

I changed my mind, if they go to $100 it's worth the gamble to test and see what it REALLY is.

If it's not what they claim it can be returned/claimed... just more hassle.

They'll go $120 for 1, $115 for 2+.

I haven't placed order.

How do you know? I initially offered 120 for 6. Was active overnight before retracting after reading the responses to this thread.

Because I communicated with the seller. They told me $120 for 1, $115 for 2+.

I REALLY want to try these out, but I don't know... so much other stuff I'm testing now for the 8 Node build.

Did he clear up any of the typos on what size of drive it actually is or the interface?

No, I didn't ask. Easier to do a return if there are mistakes in listing vs. what you receive compared to trying to return a drive solely on poor drive performance because it's not a RE, etc...

Does WD have any plans to make SAS versions of 5/6TB REs? I didn't see them on their site, only SATA models.
Also, what does it mean when a drive is sold without a label? Less reliable than one with a label?
