not to TC, but $400 per chassis seems a little pricey for older style 846 chassis?

Considering I paid ~200 for mine with rails and no broken handles, yes. Also...part of them are broken or incomplete, so that's too high

i have been watching Supermicro 4U chassis and it never goes down to $200 anymore. The price is quite steep at the moment.

The handle is a cheap and easy fix, but the backplane is an issue. Not many people want the original 3gb SAS expander backplanes. Once you factor in buying a replacement it's a pricepoint that is no longer that good, especially if you only need one chassis.
