Just wanted to vent.
I needed a few cheap NVMe SSDs for a little project. They didn't need to be high performance or anything as they were being installed onto a DeskPi-6 cluster and each drive is only connected PCIe 2.0 x1.
I bought 3 Crucial P3 500GB m.2 NVMe drives (CT500P3SSD8) off amazon. They were not a bad price and I thought I'd give their newly released drives a shot since these new drives just hit the market. Installed - worked great - all three drives failed hard after ~24 hours. Completely dead, not even recognized on the DeskPi or on another more traditional test system.
Really weird to have three drives fail the same way so fast.
The other three slots on the DeskPi have older Samsung 960 drives that I had in a parts bin. They are working fat/dumb/happy.
