After a few iterations in making labs, I looked into metro clusters.
I was instantly attracted to the possibilities and setup two different locations.
The picture below is the node which I house where the other node is in a different (close) location.
Has anyone succesfully designed and operated a vmware metro cluster?
I'm struggling with some essential road blocks as I am not using Netapp or EMC as my SAN storage (I used TrueNas and then Windows storage spaces).
What is the witness and how does one set this up? There is so little documentation on this, but I'm realizing it's one of the key comoponents in making this work.
Any other advice would be great.
