No HDR, or freesync. No frill tilt only stand. But it is about as cheap as you can get for a new 32in 4K monitor.

The only thing is that almost all TV will only have HDMI inputs and no DP. so you would also have to get a DP to HDMI 2.0 active converter. Also 43" is a bit big for most desktop and being able to sit within less than the normal viewing distance of 1. 5 ft .

I switched to using a 49inch 4K Sony TV as my main monitor about 18 months ago. More than 60hz would be nice but I have a pretty severe vision impairment so the extra size means I can have everything blown up in a big font size and still fit a lot of information on the screen. Definitely not for everyone but for me, the tradeoff is worth it. I started with 49 because I wasn’t sure how I’d like it. When this dies I’ll likely go to 65 inch.

I'm never going back to 60hz on my monitor :)

There is no above 60hz 4K monitor right now. all these TVs or anything that says above 60hz really mean 60hz for lower res than 4k. or even if you do 4k at above 60hz means you are not using 4:4:4. There is just not enough bandwidth in the current most common HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 for above 60hz at 4K 4:4:4 8bit RGB.

That's also why I stick to my 27" ips 2560x1440 for now :)

TCL 43s425 is the hidden gem of televisions that can be used as monitors. 43” 4K HDR10 $218 @ SAMs club/Walmart/Best Buy.
will display 4K @ 60hz @ 4:4:4 chroma giving you crisp and readable text. Love mine.
Using one in my bedroom right now with the ability to use it as a second monitor when "working from home". The next model up in 55" is what I have in my living room and it is a damn nice screen as well.

The DP1.4 Asus PG27UQ on my desk begs to differ. As does the 2x DP1.2 ZisWorks X39 display also on my desk.

You're right about a single DP1.2 not being enough, but there are displays out there that do 4k120+ at 4:4:4 - I've had both of those two for a couple of years now.

i use this television as a 4K monitor all day long with great results. Both my dell precision m7710 (quadro m3000m) and my personal desktop (980gtx) have hdmi 2.0 outputs. Screen is perfect size on my desk. It is equivalent dimensionally and in resolution to four 22” 1080p monitors glued together.

43" is impractical as a monitor on a desk, though, IMO. 32" is the perfect size for multi-monitors.
I have a desk with a triple monitor setup with 2 x LG 32UD59-B 4K monitors, and 1 x Asus PB238 in portrait mode.
The LG is a bit more adjustable. Cost about $100 more 2 years ago. Both have had to be replaced under warranty. Both with newly developed dead pixels over time, also. LG is not quality. I hope this is better ...

My LGs do support Freesync, but the GTX 960 they are attached doesn't ...

Agree the BenQ is nice. But wouldn't buy a refurb with a 1 year warranty. If you buy new with a Costco VISA, you get an additional 2 years warranty. It won't apply on a refurb, though.

Thank you Layla. With your cue, I have my next dream purchase : Asus ROG Strix XG438Q

43" is bigger than persons field of view but it is definitely better than 2 30"if you need large screen. I am currently using LG 43".
