These are Micron, is that the least preferred? Can anyone opinionate on that. I specifically ask in the following order

Hynix
Samsung
Micron last choice

Is there any wisdom here?

Also, I tend to get the ones with heat sinks.

If HP are happy to use them in their systems, I think you have nothing to fear :)

When I need RAM I tend to look for Hynix, Micron/ Crucial, Samsung & Nanya in that order :)

Not sure why you'd pick Hynix or Samsung over Micron or really any over each other... they all mostly just work fine.
I say mostly because sometimes systmes have specific requirements but in general with SuperMicro those 3 just WORK :)

Echo what @T_Minus says, if they are OEM branded especially they should all work fine and be equal. After all HP will use all 3 brands in a single server without concern, they consider them equal.
I have seen no more or less failures for any of the 3 brands.

I only rank them that way because that's usually what I find best price on. Functionally there's little if any difference in them :)
