@Nanotech for things like that I like hardwarecanucks and thetechreport and guru3d to name a few. They often do CPU benchmarks with games with different GPU If a game performs about the same with a GTX1060 as it does a GTX 1080 then it is CPU limited. That said most games, as far as I know, don't scale past about 4 cores.
I look elsewhere as well. Now... has this thread made me think about putting a GPU in the box, sure.

Wait. I must missed fact, that Phi is x86 CPU. Now that's interesting.

@Nanotech Paul took over Xeon reviews at Tom's when I stopped doing them (E5 V4 generation this year) and is using Linux-Bench. Anandtech both Ian and Johan cover Xeon.

There are maybe 7 sites including STH with even somewhat regular server benchmarks. Several have tried but it is really hard/ expensive to deal with this class of gear. Gaming PCs/ components are much more accessible both to folks writing reviews and to the public.
