Out of curiosity, I bought one of these on Amazon. Not just the element, bit the whole box. I thought it was too good to be true for $326, but sure enough, it arrived in near new condition. I like that the power supply is built in. I removed the 8gb RAM and installed 64gb, removed the 256gb NVME and put in a couple 2TB NVME and the box really sings. I've bought a lot of PCs in my days but I can honestly say, this might be the best $326 pc I've come across. Although I need to figure out why the nic isn't negotiating 2.5g connection, otherwise - Excellent value. The one I purchased had this description:

Intel NUC Business Mini PC Desktop, Core i5-9300H, 8GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD, Thunderbolts, HDMI, RJ-45, SD Card Reader, Wi-Fi 6, Windows 11 Pro, Black, NUC9QN

They are only 1gb network connections. You would have to add another nic for 2.5.

I realized after I posted this, that the two nics are 1gb not 2.5gb. Not mad about it though. Still a great value for $326. I'm currently debating which parts from the parts bin will go into the two empty PCIe slots. I currently have the GPU sitting outside the box, Thunderbolt connected. I don't own a GPU that could fit inside the box, but I do have a dual NVME card which works in x16 slot without needing bifurcation. Don't really need any more storage in this box though. I think I'll use one of the slots for a 10gb ethernet adapter. Sounds like a weekend project.

It's not bad, but how exactly is this "an excellent value"? Are we only weighing this in terms of "small-ish chassis with more than 1 PCIe slot"?

It's not bad, but how exactly is this "an excellent value"? This machine is like an older Seeed Studios Re-Server, but with the older Coffee lake microarchitecture instead of a Tiger Lake i3 28w (which also has 2 Intel i225 built-in, and a PCIe x4 slot). For 275 you can also buy pre-owned Ryzen 5000 or Alder Lake i5 mini-PCs, and if the argument is for a cheap machine with a coffee lake with a PCIe slot, a ThinkCentre P330 can be had for roughly 275. Hell, if you want really cheap firepower with PCie, HP t740s are coming off lease at 100-120 nowadays.
Maybe I'm not the best at finding deals. I've seen some of those Seeed boxes, they look nice. I've never seen one boxed up like new for $326. The ThinkCentre P330 seems quite a bit bigger than this box too. Matter of fact, for $326 I didn't find any systems this small with 2 full height PCIe slots, dual thunderbolt, dual M.2 slots, 64gb ram support, dual gb lan, built-in power supply. I can keep searching though.

When you get this, can let us know if you can add a video card.

Specs say a card up to 8in long will fit. I have one of my eGPU connected now but plan to do the MSI 4060ti 16gb. It was the cheapest 16gb GPU I could. find that looks like it will fit.
