Yea... but the funny thing is that this is technology... so give it two months and everything will cost the same or less anyway.

Yeah, a great deal on the M5014's, no doubt. They really make you fork up some dough to get the extra cache and RAID levels with the 9265.

Ive got respect for LSI for trailblazing but always come back to Areca because theyve never let me down - out of band WebGUI/CLI + tighter firmware tuned for better OOB performance, firmware updates that dont break existing features (ergo LSI just stripped spindown from their latest firmware for all RAID controllers).

I could rattle off half a dozen dealbreakers w/ LSI, theyre the epitome of bleeding edge right now. Tempted to get the openbox 1882 as a backup card but can't really afford at moment.
