Nice deal. Thanks for posting odditory.Open Box Areca ARC-1882i right now for $448, I'd buy it if I hadn't just bought the PCIe 3.0 version for $160 more.

Seriously! I need to STOP checking my emails...Newegg are just going nuts with specials.
Black Friday = can't see the sun over all the emails piling up with specials.
Interesting... in that second link there is a LSI BBU that costs more than the used IBM M5014 w/ BBU.Though, for ~ 500.00, you could pick up a LSI-9265 and the BBU:

I do like the ARC's though...
Ive got respect for LSI for trailblazing but always come back to Areca because theyve never let me down - out of band WebGUI/CLI + tighter firmware tuned for better OOB performance, firmware updates that dont break existing features (ergo LSI just stripped spindown from their latest firmware for all RAID controllers).Though, for ~ 500.00, you could pick up a LSI-9265 and the BBU:

Glad I stumbled across your comment! I'm shopping new Areca cards and hadn't realized some were v3.0.Open Box Areca ARC-1882i right now for $448, I'd buy it if I hadn't just bought the PCIe 3.0 version for $160 more.
