Long time lurker first time poster

This may be a long shot, I’ve been hunting around the likes of skinflint but not seeing anything.

looking to condense a setup down with a switch that can do 24 ports with either all 2.5G&POE+ or a switch that can do at least 10 ports at 1Gbe&POE+ and at least 5 at 2.5G no need for poe.

to make matter more complex I don’t want anything that’s cloud dependent for management.

the could be a unicorn device right now or waaay out of budget but any pointers towards brand/range would be appreciated

An ICX7550-24ZP could do that, if budget were no object.

Pretty much all of those Realtek reference design switches from aliexpress will do. None have cloud management, but like the post above, they don't have models with enough ports yet, so you end up having some sort of aggregation or tree setup. As always, it really depends on the money vs. effort balance.

This 100% fits the bill but damn that price ouch!

I suspected as much, that I wasn’t going to easily find a one size fits all unit for this. Thanks so much all for suggestions

No one really pays list prices, but most potential buyers for that switch aren't looking for only one of them.

I wish I had better news for you - if you want a single switch that can do everything you want, you might be waiting a bit.

Backup option is to find a 1Gbe PoE+ 16x switch that’s got SFP+ 4x 10Gb and DAC the machines at 10G instead of 2.5G that need the bandwidth. That might be more manageable

or as you say, get comfy for a long wait

Splitting op the POE and non-POE might be the best first option to take here. Makes a big difference in what's available at a reasonable price.

I have a Unifi USW Enterprise 24 PoE, can be managed locally with the UniFi Network app, which can be installed e.g. on a local Linux server or NAS. No cloud connection needed.
Has been serving me well over the last years, got it as soon as it was available back then.

Thanks everyone for the help

after way to much searching I came across these Cisco CBS350-24NGP-4X-UK, they do a variant with 16x1GbE&POE+ and 8X5Gbe&POE++ and 4xSFP+ 10g, so it does sort of exist and not at enterprise prices!!

Can you confirm that the 8x5Gbe ports support 2.5gbe?

TIA.
