Looks like a cheap option for a low power edge server, router, nas, or a decent DIY network video recorder.

The pentium J6426 is pretty low power, but includes 10th gen integrated graphics which should handle hardware accelerated transcoding well.
Room for 2 ddr4 sodimm, but none included.

2.5g nic, 1g nic, plus 16poe 10/100 intended for cameras.
2x 3.5", 1x 2.5, 1x m2 2242 sata drives and a room for an eMMC module

Longtime lurker, glad to have a contribution for once.
I'm thinking of spinning these into a proxmox cluster to experiment with ceph, or as a standalone frigate server with a usb coral tpu.

Same device is $51 on newegg.... Wouldn't call this a smoking hot deal or anything

That is a lot of capability for the price! My only real complaint is the lack of a pcie m.2 slot. I'm grabbing 3, they will probably replace existing systems immediately.

This looks suspiciously like a unit I played with from Axis, in which case do not be surprised if the switch is completely isolated from the other ports;
Oh-wierd topology, but i was correct.
4 ethernet interfaces on the chipset. 2 go to the external ports, 2 go to 8 port POE switches, with 8 external ports each, and two GB ports. So I'd guess the two POE boards are bound together, but it isn't clear.

It would be interesting if the POE ports were completely separate and 'just worked'. Then this can even just be a cheap 16-port POE switch. Lots of uses for this thing. I wonder what NVR software would pair well with it?

So no PCIe slots at all, M.2 or otherwise ? In that Case Hailo-8 is a no go.

I believe I saw some ASUS Hailo-10 just getting released which is USB-C based (unsure about pricing), but not sure if it would be happy with just USB 3.1 Type A or if it requires USB-C XXX Version.

From the datasheets and manuals I do not see any way to breakout a pcie lane. No nvme, no m.2 wifi, the only m.2 slot is sata/ngff only.

It looks to fit in a rackmount form-factor, but this sku doesnt include the rackmount ears.

From the looks of it these are factory new old stock devices, with all the cables for adding drives but none included.

The user manual is pretty old-school, it includes mechanical dimensions, header locations, and pin breakout details on the common connectors. Lots of good info in there.
The 16 10/100 meg poe ports are separated into two 8 port switch controllers connected thru independent intel i211 network controllers. The ip1810 ethernet switch they used supports 802.11q vlans and several forms of spanning tree protection, although I don't expect those settings are accessible.
There is a 54v power connector for poe. I wonder if that could be disconnected to save some power budget if you don't need poe.

I am curious about the "1x eMMC 32GB (option)" as i'm not finding any port or interface in the datasheet.

The user manual describes installing a rack mount kit and a wall mount kit, but I haven't found a part number for either.
